Louis Vuitton Brings Cruise 2018 Collection To Japan
Louis Vuitton will bring its Cruise 2018 collection show to Japan on Sunday, May 14th. FOE21 Fashion has learned. Luxury brands like Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton are planning their shows, looking for hot spots like Rio de Janeiro, Monaco and Palm Spring according to Vogue. This year, Louis Vuitton will debut in Japan.
Japan has a long story with the brand Louis Vuitton, the first boutique was opened in 1978 in Tokyo. Designers such as Rei Kawakubo, Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama are wondering why Louis Vuitton hadn’t shown there sooner.
One of the best fashion collaborations all the time was the collaboration Louis Vuitton with Takashi Murakami. He was responsible for updating and refreshing the Louis Vuitton offerings in the most incredible ways. The pops of color, the interesting patterns, the overlays and use of QR codes were just unbelievably amazing.
Remember, Nicolas Ghesquière is a French fashion designer and the current creative director of the house of Louis Vuitton visited Tokyo, possibly to scout locations, and he reportedly traveled in Japan in between his tenures at Balenciaga and Vuitton for Cruise 2018 collection.
The excitement for what will be shown is at Cruise 2018 Collection nearly palpable, the expectations of beautiful Japanese surroundings and the interesting imagination of Nicolas Ghesquière providing efficient fuel to the actively burning flames of interest eagerly devouring every snippet of news we get. Hopefully we will all know more soon and those millions of us unable to attend will gladly stay glued to our Instagram and Twitter hashtags.
The city and specific location of the Cruise 2018 Collection show will be announced closer to the date.
